Health Matters

The Joint Benefit Trust sponsors several initiatives under the “umbrella” of The JBT Health Matters Program, to encourage prevention, early detection and treatment of illness and chronic disease. We’re also committed to helping participants make healthy lifestyle choices and in doing so improve their quality of life. In short, your health matters—to you and to the JBT.

This section describes the programs designed to help you take charge of your health, including:

  • The Health Matters myhealthIQ program—An annual health screening program that can alert you to your health risks and the possibility for developing a chronic condition like diabetes or heart disease
  • The Health Matters Lifestyle Management program—A personalized health coaching program for participants with high health risks
  • The Health Matters Chronic Disease Management program—A personalized health management program that helps participants suffering from heart disease, asthma, diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), cancer and several other illnesses

Participation in these programs is voluntary and strictly confidential.

This section also explains the important preventive steps you can take to improve and maintain your health.
